Projects might include nature conservation, historic buildings, museum collections, archive collections, spoken history records, cultural traditions, and objects and sites relating to the UK’s industrial, transport and maritime history. Young Roots - Grants £5,000 to £25,000 Young Roots offers grants of between £5,000 and £25,000. The scheme aims to involve 13-20 year-olds (up to 25 for those with special needs) in finding out about their heritage, developing skills, building confidence and promoting community involvement. Young Roots projects stem directly from young peoples' interests and ideas, harnessing their creativity and energy and helping them work with others in their local community. Landscape Partnerships - Grants £250,000 to £2 million It caters for applications based round a portfolio of projects, which combine to provide a varied package of benefits to an area, its communities which live, work and visit there. The initiative will mainly help us to promote heritage conservation as an integral part of rural regeneration. Please Note: The Landscape Partnerships programme is changing in 2008. You can apply using the current Landscape Partnerships application pack, for your stage one application, for one further round - 31 March 2008.
